In 2006, I was asked to create a burial plot for Sylvia Rose, a child who died at the age of seven. My attempt in this project was to take a deeply saddening and tragic situation, and transform it into a place that expresses the happiness, sweetness and innocence that were characteristic of Sylvia Rose. Using vivid colors and elements from nature and from my imagination (flora and fauna, stars, seashells and angels); I created a resting place infused with the spirit of magic that Sylvia brought in her short life.
